Luxurious silk and linen mix (52% silk, 48% linen) from The Thread Gatherer, available in 46 colours.
Oriental linen is a two-ply fibre with a slightly nubby texture. Each ply has one thread of linen and one thread of silk. Use two-ply for specialty stitches on 18-ct canvas or linen or 1-ply for basketweave or cross-stitch.
The different fibre types, linen and silk, absorb dyes differently, resulting in colour variations that run the entire length as opposed to color changes a section at a time like Silk 'n Colors.
