Our online shop’s 'checkout' section requires you to give us details of your name, e-mail address and mailing address.  These are used only by Thread Bear, to enable us to send you your order.  Credit card details are sent in a secure, encrypted form.

We will not email you unless you have opted to receive our newsletter or, if you have placed an order with us, in normal correspondence relating to that purchase.  We do not pass on your e-mail address to any other person.

On our Newsletter subscription page, you may opt to send us your mail address so that we can send you information about special offers, new products, or important changes in our services.  You may also opt out of receiving future mailings at any time by unsubscribing, or by directly e-mailing us a request to be deleted from our records.

Our website contains links to other sites.  Thread Bear is not responsible for the privacy practices and/or the content of such web sites.  When visiting such sites, we recommend that you use caution when providing any personal data.

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control by restricting access to the hardware where it is stored to authorised personnel of the company only.  This is to guarantee the privacy of our visitors and customers.

Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item.

 

If you select the option of 'remember me' in the Checkout, a cookie stores your address details on your computer, for us to retrieve next time you reach that part of the checkout process.  The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.  Although you can usually modify your browser to prevent cookies being stored, you need to be aware that this may prevent you from making a purchase using our 'shopping basket' technology.

We do not keep records of your IP address when you visit our site.

If you wish us to remove all your information from our database to ensure you will not receive future communications, please send an e-mail to info@thread-bear.co.uk asking us to remove all your details permanently, and we will do so within 2 working days.
