Carol loves big buttons - and has bought heaps from us to adorn her stunning knitted cusion covers. Aren't these beautiful?! Not sure whether Carol sells these or just makes them for fun ... we'll ask her!
KNITTING NORAS, July 2009
Polly Boardman runs a charitable knitting project for seniors, who knit blankets and baby clothes for two local hospitals and other charities. They've now started truly "intergenerational" work and taught a half day workshop at a local Primary School. She says it was a great day and as you will see from the press release very beneficial to all. Do read the press release - this is really fabulous project and we're thrilled to hear what Polly and her friends have been up to.

GREAT IDEAS FOR READY-TO-STITCH CUSHION COVERS, Pat, Spring 2009
Pat must have bought several hundred of our Charles Craft Home Decor Cushion covers by now! It's great to see a couple of examples of how she makes use of these as gifts for her friends and relatives. If you want to order one of these and we're out of stock, you know who to blame!
PINK QUILT FOR BREAST CANCER, Summer 2008
Dolores has made this GORGEOUS pink star quilt from a free design 'In The Pink' for anyone wanting to have a go at making it to raise money in aid of research into breast cancer. She used lots of our pink fabrics and others from her stash, and came to show us the final stupendous result! She's now got to part with it as she raffles it off to raise her donation ... she'll let us know how she gets on.

CORFE QUILTERS, SOMERSET - Spring 2007
Corfe Quilters in Somerset had their first exhibition this year. Their chair Sue bought some fabric from us last year, and this was used by the quilters to make their biggest group project yet - the lovely sampler quilt pictured below, which was donated as first prize in their raffle to raise money for their local children's hospice. We had a lovely email from secretary Stella forwarding the picture to us together with an article from the local Gazette showing the group and telling of the astonishing amount of over £1700! Fantastic! Thanks so much for telling us about this.
URSULA'S BAG HANDLES!
Ursula was desperate to find the right handles for her bag and saw some of these pretty pink ones on our web site. Unfortunately she had to wait for a while as our supplier was out of stock ... but her patience paid off, and she sent us a pic of this stupendous creation! Think you'll agree that she really did need these pink handles! Thank you for the photo Ursula ... and we can't help wondering how long it took you to knit all those leaves?!
Update - Ursula answered the question - she said she took a couple of weeks of evenings, looked great with an outfit she wore to a wedding, and added that the following comment: "The flowers are a real pain to knit - easy peasy BUT lots of them!!! Took a week or so of evenings. It's a Noni Pattern - should anyone be so foolish as to follow suit!!" ... So be warned folks!
